PUBLIC NOTICE
PROPOSED ROAD CLOSURE – BYLAW 1760-26
SW 34 38-22-4 and SE 33 38-22-4
Notice is hereby given that the County of Stettler No. 6 has given first reading to Bylaw 1760-26 to close a road allowance between the SW 34 38-22-4 and the SE 33 38-22-4 north of the Red Deer River and running through Tail Creek Park.
The purpose of the proposed road closure is to facilitate the disposal and transfer of the area of the closed road to the adjacent property owner.
The bylaw may be reviewed at the County Administration Building located at 6602 – 44 Avenue, Stettler, Alberta during regular office hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. A copy of the bylaw can be obtained via email by sending a request to cteal@stettlercounty.ca or visiting www.stettlercounty.ca.
The Public Hearing to hear representations concerning Bylaw 1760-26 is scheduled to be held Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 1:00PM or as soon thereafter as possible. The hearing will be held in the Council Chambers at the County Administration Building located at 6602 – 44 Avenue, Stettler, Alberta. Virtual attendance is available via Zoom by typing the following into your web browser: www.stettlercounty.ca/Zoom.
The hearing will be chaired by the Reeve. Persons wishing to join by teleconference or speak in person will be requested to state their name and address for the record upon being recognized by the Chair. Council will hear verbal or written submissions from any person who claims to be affected by the proposed bylaw. Persons may make oral presentations at the hearing regardless of whether they have provided written comments.
Any person wishing to comment on the proposed bylaw may do so in writing to Craig Teal, RPP MCIP, Director of Planning & Development, County of Stettler No. 6, Box 1270 Stettler, Alberta, T0C 2L0, or by email to cteal@stettlercounty.ca by April 15, 2026 or make representation at the Public Hearing.
