The County of Stettler No. 6 has started a review of our Municipal Development Plan (MDP) and Land Use Bylaw (LUB). The current MDP was adopted in 2009 and the current LUB in 2011 and much has changed over the past 10-15 years.
The MDP and LUB review is intended to assess the current policies and direction of the two documents to see how well they advance the future vision for the community. It is also intended to update the documents to reflect changes in planning legislation and development trends.
Open House and Community Workshops:
You are invited to attend one of our upcoming workshops to discuss land use planning in the County. We are seeking input on what you would like to see in the future. The workshops are your opportunity to share your thoughts and discuss the future with your neighbours.

An informal, drop in open house will be hosted before each workshop between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Display materials will be available for review and project team members will be available for discussions.
Each workshop will consist of small group table discussions followed by a large group discussion on thoughts and ideas.
Participants in each workshop will be asked to share their thoughts on the future they would like to see for the County. This may include topics such as:
-the desired types of land use activity and development to encourage; and
-locations where different land uses may or may not be acceptable.
You are welcome to join us at the workshop that is most convenient for you.
