Changes to Snowplowing Service (2023)
At the June 14, 2023 Council meeting, Council made changes to the snowplowing service and fees in the County of Stettler.
The $100 Inspection and Administration Fee remains in place. Each driveway must be inspected annually for insurance purposes. If you are signing up for laneway snowplowing for the season, you must pay a $100 Administration and Inspection Fee, and sign the paperwork prior to an inspection being conducted of your laneway.
In addition, a fee will now be applied every time we come to plow or grade your driveway. $100/visit for the first 1/4 mile. $50 for every 1/4 mile after that.
We are preparing a procedure to allow residents to request snowplowing when needed, so that residents will control how often their driveways are cleared and the costs now associated with this service.
The deadline to sign up and be part of our seasonal snowplowing program is the last working day in October, annually. (October 31 2023). Applications are accepted at our Public Works Facility at 19561 Township Road 38-4.
