[ARCHIVED] Public Hearing - Bylaw 1670-21 Regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board

The County of Stettler has prepared Bylaw No. Bylaw 1670-21 - Regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board.

Council gave First Reading to Bylaw 1670-21 at the November 10, 2021 Council Meeting. The bylaw is now being circulated for further public review. Bylaw 1670-21 proposes to provide for a Regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board. Parkland Community Planning Services, for which the County is a member, provides such a Regional Board. Council directed joining the Regional Board at the October Organizational Meeting. The cost of an SDAB hearing provided locally is similar to the cost of the Regional SDAB. The County will remain responsible for per-diems, legal fees, hourly rate of the clerk, and an annual training provision.

A Public Hearing on the proposed bylaw has been scheduled for January 12 at 1:00 pm . The Council Meeting, including the public hearing, will be streamed live at YouTube.com/StettlerCounty. You are welcome to join the live public hearing by Zoom at stettlercounty.ca/zoom or call in to 587-328-1099 and use Meeting ID: 237 185 7702 with passcode 660244 or by submitting written comments via email to abrysiuk@stettlercounty.ca prior to January 5, 2021. The hearing will be chaired by the Reeve. 

Persons wishing to join by teleconference will be requested to state their name and address for the record upon being recognized by the Chair. Council will hear verbal or written submissions from any person who claims to be affected by the proposed bylaw. Persons may make oral presentations via teleconference at the Council meeting, regardless of whether or not they have provided written comments. A copy of the proposed bylaw is available at the County Administration Building or you may request a copy by email from abrysiuk@stettlercounty.ca.
