Bought or sold a property in the County of Stettler? Bring in your Purchase Agreement

The County of Stettler has been made aware Alberta Land Titles has a 2-3 month backlog on the registration of your documents for changes in ownership of properties. You can help us by bringing in your purchase agreements.

Please be advised:

  • As of January 31, 2022, Land Titles were registering documents submitted on October 29, 2021.
  • Land Titles - Surveys were registering documents submitted on November 25, 2021

The 2-3 month backlog at Alberta Land Titles impacts the County of Stettler No. 6, as we refer to Land Titles Certificates for changes of ownership and utilities billings.

If you have sold or purchased a property in the County of Stettler No. 6, you can help us by bringing in the Purchase Agreement so that we can adjust our tax files by adding your 'Agreement of Sale' until we receive a Certificate of Title from the Land Titles Office. This alerts us to switch over utilities billings to the new owner as well.

Please note, the registration of subdivisions is also delayed due to a large backlog of documents to be registered at Land Titles.
