[ARCHIVED] Please Provide YOUR Input: Budget 2021 Priorities and our Ward Boundary Review

Budget 2021 Priorities Survey

Ward Boundary Review: Stettler County Survey

We currently have two surveys for County of Stettler land owners and residents, so we may receive feedback and input from our citizens. One is the Ward Boundary Survey – we are required by the Municipal Government Act to adjust our ward boundaries to balance population ensuring equal representation for all of our citizens. After the Villages of Botha and Gadsby dissolved and became hamlets in the County of Stettler, the Botha-Gadsby grew in numbers by the populations in those two hamlets being added to that ward. As well as adjusting the ward boundaries to balance our voting population, we are asking the question of whether you prefer 7 wards with the Reeve voted in by his or her fellow council members annually, as is currently  the practice. Or if our citizens would prefer to move to 6 wards and then have the public choose/vote for a Mayor, like the Town of Stettler currently does.

Our second survey we are hoping to hear from you about, is regarding priorities and budget. We like to hear what our citizens priorities are in terms of where the County spends or saves money. Please take a couple minutes to answer both our surveys and provide your County Council with your input.

We have extended the deadline and will continue to collect surveys until Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 4:00 PM.
