The County of Stettler Finance Department provides support to ratepayers, Councillors, and all internal departments within the County of Stettler. Finance staff also serve as the frontline for the County of Stettler in regard to public inquiries: directing calls, answering emails, and taking payments. 

Financial Services

Within the County of Stettler No. 6 the Finance Department handles many of the financial functions necessary for County function. Some examples of functions include:

  • Billings (for taxes, utilities, product sales and development fees)
  • Accounts Payable
  • Grant Applications
  • Budgeting

Payment Options

There are many different ways that you can pay your property taxes and utilities in the County of Stettler. We accept payments by cash, cheque, debit card, online banking, or at most major financial institutions. If you are paying your taxes or utilities online, please ensure that you are paying them to the County of Stettler No. 6.

We accept utility payments, taxes and receivable payments by online payment. Please ensure you use your roll number to pay taxes, your utility number to pay utilities and your customer ID for invoices. Please contact the county office for additional information.


Tax Autopay Program

If you wish to sign up for the autopay program your taxes have to be paid up to date. The withdrawals will start in January and go through December. For example, the first six months payments will be based on previous year's tax levy. Then once the current year’s tax levy is set, the remaining payments will be split over the next six months.
