ABO Wind Canada Ltd. (ABO Wind) is proposing to construct a 34 megawatt (MW) solar and storage project along the southside of Township Road 384 on the NW 20 and NE 20. This site is approximately one mile southeast of the Town of Stettler and one mile east of Highway 56.

As the proponent of the project, ABO Wind must first obtain approval from the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) and then obtain a development permit approval from the County of Stettler. The AUC approval process requires a public involvement program by ABO Wind before they send their application to the AUC.

The County of Stettler encourages interested landowners and parties to participate in the public involvement program being undertaken by ABO Wind.

Details about ABO Wind’s project, opportunities for public involvement and the AUC approval process can be found on their website at www.stettlersolar.com or by contacting David Berrade, Social Impact and Engagement Lead, ABO Wind Canada Ltd., at 587-576-5339 or dave.berrade@abo-wind.com.
