Speeding continues to be a major problem on our roads. In 2012, 57% of all speeding charges laid were in excess of 130 kilometres per hour.
Six of these violators were charged with traveling in excess of 150 kilometres per hour. Some of the highest speeds were 1167 kilometres per hour on Highway 835 heading towards Buffalo Lake.
These are the same roads that you and your families travel on every day and we are sure you share our concerns in this area.
We patrol roads everyday, making sure that they remain safe. If you have any concerns about speeding on county roads, please don't hesitate to contact the Protective Services Department at 403-742-4441.
